FibrePoint 8 Port POF/Copper Switch
The fibrepoint® fast Ethernet, 8-Port switch has been tuned for optical networks that require high throughput with minimal latency and is ideal for streaming data such as the IPTV and VOIP throughout the modern home or office.

Local regulatory restrictions mean that the home network may have to be open to multiple service providers who could independently provide your IPTV, Internet or VOIP telephone services. To enable such possibilities the fibrepoint® 8-Port switch has twin input ports to accommodate two different service providers and is designed to allow VLAN configurations down to the individual port level at a WallPort, in effect a single fibrepoint® cable can be used by multiple service providers without interference or requiring their own in-house cabling. The copper Ethernet input ports on the 8-Port switch are fitted with RJ45 connectors and there are 6 POF optical output ports using OptoLock® connectors.
Quality of Services (QOS) is also built-in to the fibrepoint® system; it can be configured to give priority to a service such as IPTV and this can be extended down to the individual port on a WallPort. This means that a single WallPort can be used for both internet and IPTV traffic even if these are from different service providers, with the IPTV port getting priority when needed.
